Senior Revenue Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to support our rapidly growing technology company. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting, this role offers visibility and interaction with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will thrive in a challenging environment, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
What you will do:
1. Prepare and analyze deal review packages, including revenue allocations and agreement reviews, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in line with accounting standards and company policies.
2. Prepare and analyze professional service contracts and data for revenue recognition accuracy and timeliness.
3. Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products, programs, and their impact on revenue, as well as applicable accounting standards and policies.
4. Ensure all workpapers and reported figures accurately reflect business activities and comply with accounting standards and policies.
5. Prepare and review journal entries, analyses, and reports for month-end close activities related to revenue processes.
6. Conduct detailed account reconciliations and variance analyses monthly, quarterly, and annually, resolving discrepancies promptly.
7. Assist in preparing reporting packages for senior management and disclosures for financial statements.
8. Build collaborative relationships across teams to support analysis, research, and process improvements.
9. Maintain internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, actively engaging in process improvements.
10. Research new accounting standards and their application to the business.
11. Manage audit deliverables and support external and internal audits.
12. Lead special projects focused on process improvement and automation.
13. Train and mentor junior staff members.
What you will need:
1. BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience; CPA preferred.
2. 4-5+ years of progressive experience, preferably with Big 4 and high-growth SaaS companies.
3. Ability to work independently in a challenging environment, managing priorities effectively.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.
5. Proficiency in NetSuite, Blackline, Excel, MS Office, and Salesforce.
6. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
7. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
