Established life sciences organisation is looking for an Interim General Ledger Accountant to support their finance team. The Role will include : Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and posted. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements. Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Review and process journal entries for month-end and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting policies. Ensure compliance with financial controls, internal audit procedures, and accounting standards (US GAAP). Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant or similar accounting role (3 years). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
