Toolmaker - Manual / CNC Machinist Permanent South Birmingham (Near Redditch) £17-18 per hour DOE EMBS Engineering is working with a prestigious precision engineering client, located in on the outskirts of Redditch who are looking to recruit a Toolmaker - Manual / CNC Machinist on a permanent basis. Key Benefits on offer: £17.00 - 18.00 per hour depending on experience Day shift - 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.30 to 12.30 on Fridays Opportunity to progress and develop your career Modern working environment Many employee benefits available such as pension, cycle to work scheme, perk schemes, Christmas shutdown and much more The main responsibilities as a Toolmaker - Manual / CNC Machinist will be to manufacture press tools, jigs and fixtures, carry out repairs and maintenance of press tools, jigs, fixtures and gauges as well as support production machining requirements. As a Toolmaker / Manual Machinist, you will assist with New Product Introduction & Development Processes related to tooling design and manufacturing, set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures and complete operations efficiently in accordance with job cards or technical instructions to achieve the required output levels. Successful applicants for this Toolmaker - Manual / CNC Machinist role must be able to demonstrate: Experience in Automotive / Aerospace / Defence / Power / Oil & Gas or similar manufacturing environment Manual Milling, Manual Turning, CNC and/or Grinding experience Experience of manufacturing, repairing and maintaining tooling - press tools, laser tools, hand tools etc Benchwork skills - fettling / finishing / deburring / countersinking / grinding / cutting / sanding etc Hands on approach - able to implement solutions to avoid recurring problems & confidence in supporting with production tooling issues Knowledge of CAD CAM or CNC programming would be highly desirable If you are interested in the opportunity of Toolmaker - Manual / CNC Machinist and believe you meet the illustrated criteria, apply today to join our clients’ growing quality department located in Redditch.
