You demonstrate strong analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of legislative, policy, and practice issues, crucial for effective risk assessment and case plan implementation. Prior completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) is advantageous. What the Job Involves Conducting detailed assessments and offering social work services to families in line with statutory duties and council policies. Ensuring the progression of cases to safeguard vulnerable children, while employing current research to guide interventions. Partaking in duty teams or rota systems to handle contacts, referrals, Section 47 enquiries, and child and family assessments. Assuming responsibility for Care Proceedings, representing the Local Authority in court, drawing on extensive court experience. Exemplifying accountability in service delivery, embracing challenges, and adhering to service commitments. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of resources in the specialist area to optimize benefits within the department’s budget constraints. Engaging with internal and external partners, including team managers, service managers, frontline social workers, and other agencies.
