Our people are at the heart of our purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe Job Purpose/Overview Assist with the design, creation and upkeep of Simulation data Other Duties Include Assist with the design, construction and maintenance of simulated airspace and traffic sample data to ensure that the agreed customer requirements are delivered and provide support for the activity delivery process Support the data lead and activity focal point providing contact with the customer and Sim team; attend project and progress meetings providing verbal/written progress reports as required Provide input to the simulation design process by interpreting customer requirements and advising the most efficient and effective method to deliver the objectives Maintain archives and safe storage of data samples; undertake routine housekeeping to maintain an efficient database and maintain a robust data audit process Maintain currency with UK FIR airspace and operational user interface developments using UK AIP, MATS, SI, OPNOT and other publications Maintain a good understanding of the simulator run time environment and associated system architecture Ensure that identified application and system faults/observations are reported and progressed using the appropriate process Act as mentor and deliver training as required in all aspects of the data design process Support other NATS units in the data design process as required Essential Skills and Experience Appreciation of Simulation delivery process and good understanding of UK ATM operations, procedures and airspace including military operations and NAS is a significant advantage Experience of working with applications, databases and systems in a technological environment.
