Join our Strategic Planning and Performance team in this pivotal Continuous Improvement Analyst role and take ownership of providing accurate data and reporting that drives continuous improvement within our Operational teams. You are a self-starter who is adaptable, organised, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Strategic Planning and Performance team play a key role in overseeing projects and activities within our Operational teams to identify new opportunities to elevate efficiency. With over 400 colleagues looking after our expansive network of over 9,000 miles of pipework, the work is both challenging and rewarding as we collaborate to drive the business forward. You will produce performance data to inform decision making, track project progress, and develop insightful data dashboards.
Ideally, you have a methodical and flexible approach, and are confident using Microsoft Excel as a reporting tool. You're approachable and solution-oriented, and some knowledge of SAP Business Object or SAP Analytical would be beneficial. But don't worry, we'll provide training if needed!

What will you be accountable for?
* Performance Monitoring - tracking and monitor the performance of all core operational activities, challenging current practices and highlighting key performance risks as appropriate. You will also run reports to track improvements and analyse data through Excel and Business Objects Reports.
* Collaborating - Liaising with operational staff to understand practices, identify inconsistencies, and then recommend and implement corrective measures. You’ll also assist the team with external audits and attend team meetings with senior management and peers.
* Report Writing - writing Business Objects Reports and Dashboards for Wholesale performance monitoring and creating new and enhance existing reports to enable Operations teams to meet deadlines and achieve Outcome Delivery Incentives.
* Improvements - improving the quality and effectiveness of operational activity and process through uniform standards across the regions. You’ll also provide specialist contract support for operational contracts and ensure that high standards of contractual compliance are maintained.
You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
* Data analysis and report writing experience.
* Sound knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets as a reporting tool.
* Self-motivated and highly organised.
* Enjoy problem solving.
* Knowledge of Business Objects is desirable.
* An understanding of water network and production activities would be useful.
