Job Description Key Responsibilities: Oversee commissioning activities for the full range of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for data centers, with a primary focus on HVAC, process water systems, and electrical infrastructure. Manage and coordinate commissioning teams, including both in-house engineers and third-party contractors, ensuring all commissioning tasks align with project plans, specifications, and commissioning protocols. Lead and provide oversight during all phases of the commissioning process, ensuring that testing, integration, and handover of BMS and EPMS systems meet both technical specifications and project timelines. Act as the point of contact between the project team, contractors, client representatives, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication, issue resolution, and successful system delivery. Review and approve commissioning documentation, including test scripts, functional tests, and system validation reports, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and in line with project requirements. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific commissioning protocols, conducting audits and inspections as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve complex commissioning issues related to system integration, functionality, and performance, providing expert-level guidance to both engineering teams and contractors. Monitor and report commissioning progress, preparing detailed reports that track milestones, highlight risks, and provide solutions to potential bottlenecks or delays. Participate in factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs) to validate system performance prior to final project handover. Liaise with design and project teams to ensure commissioning activities are integrated seamlessly into the overall project lifecycle and that any potential risks or changes are managed effectively. Ensure commissioning schedules are met by closely coordinating resources, addressing any unforeseen issues swiftly, and maintaining clear lines of communication with all parties involved. Conduct training and handover sessions for client operational teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage and maintain the BMS and EPMS systems post-project completion. Mentor and develop junior engineers involved in commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and encouraging a knowledge-sharing environment within the team. Required Qualifications: Extensive experience in commissioning management for data centers or similarly complex environments, with a proven track record of delivering HVAC and electrical system commissioning successfully. Strong background in BMS and EPMS systems, with hands-on experience in functional testing, system integration, and performance validation. Proven leadership experience, managing commissioning teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Deep technical understanding of control systems, communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), and electrical systems, including troubleshooting of network and system configurations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate and resolve complex technical and project-related challenges under tight timelines. Experience conducting factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs), with the ability to assess and verify system functionality in accordance with project requirements. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead meetings, produce detailed reports, and liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive and safety-conscious approach, ensuring all commissioning activities comply with health and safety standards and project-specific requirements. Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation, such as P&IDs, control schematics, and commissioning plans.
