Job responsibilities
Prepare and bake a range of savoury confectionery items, ensuring high quality and consistency.
Follow traditional and modern recipes to create items such as lamb samosas, chicken tikka rolls, vegan sausage rolls, pakoras, and pastries.
Mix, knead, and roll dough to produce various baked goods, including pasties and singaras.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimise waste.
Monitor cooking and baking processes to maintain quality and meet food safety standards in accordance with the food standard agency: safer food, better business.
Develop and test new recipes to expand the menu and cater to customer preferences.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring hygiene and food safety regulations are followed.
Requirements:
Strong skills in pastry making, dough preparation, and baking.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
