The starting salary for this role is £40,296 per annum, working 36 hours per week.
This is a fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity for up to 12 months.

All officers must be in the office for a minimum two days per week but it is expected that whilst developing into the role this will be more frequent.

About the Team
The Highways and Transport service is responsible for ensuring the effective management, maintenance and improvement of all highway and transport assets. It is regarded by Members and residents as one of the most important services provided by the Council. As such, the service manages significant financial, health and safety, and reputational risks. Our aim is to deliver a professional, efficient and cost-effective service to the Council and consider the customer in absolutely everything we do.
The Works Communication Team have a vital role in the delivery or work by liaising with all stakeholders to ensure information about upcoming works is gathered and cascaded. About the Role
Lack of or insufficient communication is consistently one of the biggest concerns from both Members and residents and the impact can be considerable on the reputation of the Service. The complexities of our own works programmes and those of other stakeholders (utility companies, developers etc) mean that managing and communicating the information in a quality format can be very challenging.
You will have excellent networking and communication skills and tenacity in ensuring the team are effectively communicating information. You will be an experienced team leader, committed to developing the team culture and individuals to improve themselves and the service we provide.
This is a fast-paced role that requires a large degree of flexibility and adaptability. From communicating with residents and stakeholders or handling complaints and Freedom of Information requests, to working with our engineers, means this role presents different challenges to keep you motivated.
