We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative at our site in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. The site is easily accessible from Royston, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Stevenage, Buntingford, Knebworth, Luton, Flitwick, Ampthill, Bedford, Sandy, St Neots, Cambourne, Cambridge and the surrounding areas. Main ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Site Manager, the successful Multi Skilled Operative will be working as part of the site production team focusing on delivering exceptional SHE standards and meeting financial and operational targets. You will also be responsible for the safe operation of the plant ensuring daily tasks are completed including general site housekeeping. On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Multi Skilled Operative will include (not exhaustive): Assisting with site maintenance projects Ensuring that all site activities are carried out in line with Company Standards and Policies and current legislation. Making sure that Site Inspections are completed and recorded Complying with planning and other operating restrictions i.e. site boundaries, noise & dust Ensuring you read, understand and sign method statements and risk assessments for all activities Controlling daily operations of the plant in line with the operating SOP’s Working closely with the maintenance team & contractors to coordinate maintenance activities during a normal day and during shutdownsThe Ideal CandidateNo formal qualifications are necessary for this role, but the ideal Multi Skilled Operative will be someone who has similar experience in a similar position and is able to support a culture of health and safety best practice by setting a personal example and can identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement.
