Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves working alongside teachers to create a supportive and productive classroom environment that fosters learning and development for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating class activities.
2. Support individual students and small groups with their learning, under the direction of the teacher.
3. Prepare classroom resources and set up learning environments as needed.
4. Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
5. Help manage classroom behavior and encourage student engagement.
6. Maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment.
7. Participate in school events and staff meetings as required.
8. Liaise with parents and guardians under the teacher’s direction.
9. Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational objectives of the school.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification is desirable.
2. Experience working with primary school children.
3. Understanding of the national curriculum and safeguarding practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students.
6. Patience, creativity, and a passion for education.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
8. Commitment to personal development and a willingness to undertake further training.
