The Role We are looking for a Sales Advisor in our Total Waste Management (TWM) division at our Head Office in Stourport, to proactively generate sales of Slicker’s sub-contracted services to the Company’s managed accounts and wider customer base. Sales will be generated through the retention of existing business and from seeking growth through outbound sales and marketing campaigns. The Sales Advisor is responsible for all aspects of customer service within the TWM department and for the effective management of incoming emails and calls. Hours of work 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday 40 hours per week No weekends Main tasks and responsibilities All aspects of customer service including the effective management of TWM emails through a central inbox Answer incoming calls and dealing with day-to-day queries Competently handle matters requiring escalation prior to manager involvement Producing written quotations with a keen focus on maintaining agreed margins, involving negotiations where required Daily order processing for both pre-planned schedules and adhoc works Confirm agreed ETAs with customers via phone and email Seek opportunities to upsell and cross sell to existing customers and source new TWM customers Proactively oversee more complex collections to ensure they are completed to the customers satisfaction Execute regular promotional activity and call campaigns as set by the TWM Manager Highlight areas of non-compliance and educate customer on adherence to legislation Maintain sales pipeline Applying the Slicker values to your role, “People rarely succeed unless they have Fun in what they are doing.” Role requirements Key skills Minimum of 12 months experience within similar role is essential and industry experience would be advantageous Excellent communication, numeracy and problem-solving skills. Computer literate, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and Excel is essential. We are looking for a proactive and focused individual, who uses their with good organisational and time management skills to work autonomously and hit deadlines under pressure. The ideal candidate will be someone who prides themselves on high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and thrives in problem solving situations.
