A global membership organisation representing civil engineers is looking for a part-time Membership Development Officer to join the North England membership team, primarily focused on the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Part-time, 3 days per week.
THE ROLE:
Overall, your role will help promote civil engineering qualifications and support members through advice, training and guidance by:
1. Promoting initiatives to potential members
2. Offering guidance to members and non-members about their professional development.
3. Advising employers on how they can support the professional development of their teams.
4. Supporting Further Education and Higher Education students by providing advice on membership and career pathways.
5. Ensuring membership records are accurate and up to date.
6. This role may require occasional evening or weekend work.
7. You’ll be required to attend team meetings across North England, as well as meetings at our Head Office in London when needed.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
1. We’re looking for someone with a background in civil engineering, customer service, learning & development, or a related field. A degree-level qualification is essential and a broad knowledge of civil engineering would be a bonus.
2. Previous experience in business development is helpful but not essential.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, including experience with presenting in person and virtually (e.g. via MS Teams).
SALARY & BENEFITS:
1. £38,850 PAFTE, paid pro-rata for 3 days/week
2. £4K car allowance, paid pro-rata
3. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown
4. 8% contributory pension
