A permanent vacancy has arisen for a Charge Nurse, band 6 within the GP Unit, Blairgowrie Community Hospital.
We are looking for a forward-thinking individual, with excellent communication skills, to join our team within the purpose-built 17-bedded ward. The successful applicant will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote and deliver high-quality evidence-based care and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan and implement care for our patient group. This includes older people with rehabilitation needs, those that require complex discharge planning, may have cognitive impairment or palliative care needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the implementation of new models of care within the GP unit that enhance the delivery of high-quality, person-centred, safe and effective care within our locality. As we are currently guided by the Medicine for the Elderly team we are able to deliver care to more acute patients locally meaning there is scope to develop practice in intravenous antibiotics and cannulation.
This post will allow the Charge Nurse to support the Senior Charge Nurse and current Charge Nurse to influence and develop practice within the unit as well as develop their own leadership and service improvement skills.
Blairgowrie is a developing Perthshire town surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of things to see and do. It is perfect for hill walking, fishing, golf with many facilities you would expect on your doorstep.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
