Purpose of Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at IMK Automotive Ltd (IMKA). This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure across our two sites: Kettering and Coventry. The ideal candidate has a proactive approach to problem-solving, a hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace, and a willingness to travel between our sites for daily business support.
Duties:
* Initial contact for software and hardware support issues, logging all issues on the helpdesk ticketing system, providing resolution, and escalating where required.
* User account management including new user setup and equipment preparation.
* Asset management and reporting.
* Ensuring that users have the equipment and systems access required to complete their day-to-day tasks. Providing staff with advice, support, and assistance for any IT issues.
* Installing, configuring, and administering the IT infrastructure including servers, printers, PCs, laptops, networking equipment, and audio-visual equipment (TVs, projectors, etc).
* Helping ensure all security, backup and disaster recovery arrangements for hardware, software and telecommunications are in place and operating correctly.
* Configure and maintain identity management solutions, such as Azure Active Directory, to enforce secure user authentication and access policies.
* Provide operational support for infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick issue resolution.
* Experience with virtualisation technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware.
* Display a positive and professional conduct, especially in stressful and fast-paced environments.
* Regularly travel between our two sites to provide daily business support. A valid UK driving license is a must.
* Demonstrate a desire to learn new technologies and skills to stay updated with industry trends.
Skills and Experience:
* Understanding of Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace
* Experience in Microsoft cloud services, including Azure and Microsoft 365.
* Knowledge of EMS technologies, including Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Conditional Access.
* Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) and application management concepts.
* Knowledge of SharePoint administration.
* Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V or VMware).
* Proficiency in security best practices and cyber threat mitigation.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
