Job Description: We are seeking a nurturing and experienced Level Three Nursery Assistant to join our team and work across various nurseries in Cornwall. The successful candidate will be passionate about early years education and committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for young children. Key Responsibilities: Support the daily routines and activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children. Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Assist with the personal care of children, including feeding, changing, and toileting. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Monitor and record the progress and development of children, providing feedback to parents and carers. Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create a supportive and enriching educational experience for all children. Requirements: Level Three qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3). Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for early years education. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children. Desirable: Pediatric First Aid certification. Additional training or certifications related to early years education or childcare. Experience with special educational needs (SEN) in an early years setting.
