An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled IT Test Manager to join a forward-thinking Utility company. The ideal candidate will have a background in utilities or a regulated environment and be adept at developing IT testing strategies and implementing test plans across various systems. This role involves leading the testing aspect of multiple concurrent IT projects in a largely outsourced environment and requires a candidate who can effectively engage with all levels of the organisation.
Day to Day of the role:
* Develop and take ownership of the IT Test Strategy.
* Manage all aspects of the Testing services including management, support, development, and delivery.
* Collaborate with IT Team colleagues and business stakeholders to define project test plans.
* Lead, plan, and manage system testing in multiple, concurrent, complex IT projects.
* Provide expert advice on testing complex programmes, including presenting to senior management and wider teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree level education is desirable.
* ISTQB Testing Certification is desirable.
* Awareness of Prince 2 Practitioner or similar project management methodology.
* ITIL experience or qualification is beneficial.
* Significant experience as a Test Manager in projects.
* Hands-on technical experience in Manual/Automated, Integration, and Load testing.
* Experience in implementing Test Frameworks.
Experience Required:
* Considerable IT Testing experience across diverse and complex projects.
* Previous utilities experience or experience in a regulated environment is desirable.
* Project implementation expertise.
* Contractual/Commercial awareness and experience.
* Process and Governance design and implementation expertise.
* Vendor and customer management skills.
* Ability to solve complex problems.
* Flexibility in terms of role and responsibilities.
* Hardworking team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
