Due to continued growth, my client, an International engineering company based in North West Manchester, is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their existing Quality team on a permanent basis.
As part of the Quality Engineering Team, candidates will be required to work with customers, suppliers, and internal staff to investigate and address NCRs raised.
Candidates will also be required to manage the NCR Database and Calibration register.
Interested candidates must be time served in a Mechanical Discipline with a demonstrable background within Quality Engineering, along with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes including Machining, Welding, and Assembly. Knowledge of Castings/Valves would also be advantageous.
This position is based on days and is available for an immediate start.

Role Description
1. Evaluate and audit current suppliers on a regular basis and drive improvements.
2. Work with the suppliers in addressing any NCRs using proven quality tools such as RCCM, 8D, and FMEA.
3. Work with customers on addressing any NCRs or returns.
4. Engage with key suppliers to incorporate PPAP for key products, working with Quality and Purchasing to establish requirements.
5. Work with internal teams on addressing any internal NCRs or quality issues.
6. Work with Operations in supporting all aspects of the quality requirements.
7. Train and cascade knowledge to other value stream quality representatives to strengthen the overall team.
8. Work with proven quality tools to strengthen the quality department processes and procedures.
9. Produce quality certification and documentation to support all products in-process and for shipment as required.
10. Work as an integral member of the quality team to support internal auditing and external notification and customer visits/audits.
11. Work with and support other areas of the business regarding technical support and assistance on matters of quality control and assurance.
12. Take an active role in Perfect Execution activities as required.
13. Whilst undertaking duties, ensure that all Company policy and procedures are adhered to (including HSE and Quality).
Skills & Attributes
1. Time served in a relevant engineering discipline.
2. Experience as a Quality Engineer within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
3. Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining, Fabrication, and Assembly.
4. NACE experience (Advantageous).
5. Internal Auditing qualifications (Advantageous).
