Are you passionate about Higher Education and supporting students in their journey to university? We're looking for an enthusiastic Schools and Colleges Engagement Officer to join our UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Team at Bath Spa University. In this dynamic role, you'll engage with schools and colleges across the UK, delivering inspiring presentations, offering guidance on university choices, and ensuring students feel confident about taking their next steps into Higher Education.
This is a Full Time 15 month fixed term contract.
About the Role
As Schools and Colleges Engagement Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting Bath Spa University and supporting students on their journey into Higher Education. You'll deliver engaging presentations, attend UCAS fairs and recruitment events, and build strong relationships with schools, colleges, and other key stakeholders.
From supporting applicants through the decision-making process to representing the university at Open Days and Applicant Visit Days, you'll be at the forefront of student recruitment, helping to shape future cohorts.
About You
You'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and inspire students through dynamic presentations. Strong written skills are also essential for liaising with teachers and key stakeholders to plan and coordinate events.
Highly organised and proactive, you'll manage the logistics of school visits, university fairs, and large-scale recruitment events across the UK. As part of a fast-paced team, you'll adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively to deliver impactful outreach activities.
A strong understanding of Higher Education and the wider educational landscape is essential. You'll be a passionate advocate for university study, able to engage students in meaningful discussions while ensuring they feel empowered to explore all their options. Whether speaking with school leavers, teachers, or parents, you'll represent Bath Spa University with enthusiasm and integrity.
Our events schedule includes evening and weekend work, with travel to schools beyond public transport routes—so a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel are essential.
Additional Information
Salary - Grade 5 - £29,179 - £32,546 per annum
This is a full time, fixed term contract for 15 months.
