Your new companyHays have been approached by a primary school located in the Wigan area who are looking to appoint a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work 5 days a week, supporting a child with various needs. This role will begin after the February half-term and continue through until the end of the academic year, potentially turning permanent for the right candidate. This is a mainstream primary school, with a great supportive system for children with SEN. This school is easily accessible via public transport. Your new roleYour new role will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child with special educational needs. Your day will consist of providing one-to-one support for a child who is based in Year 2. There are no behavioural concerns, and you are required to make sure the child remains on track with their learning and following their timetable. You may be asked to support in various other classes when you are not supporting on a 1:1 basis, so you will need to be proactive. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children and ideally previously experience supporting SEN children, even if you have limited experience, we want to hear from you.
