Overview of role:
Join the RLB West & Wales - Cost Management team for the opportunity to work on a variety of the region’s most exciting projects from inception to completion. The West & Wales Cost Management team is growing, and we are looking for a Cost Manager who wants to advance their career, gain exposure beyond the day job, and become MRICS chartered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quantification of Construction Works using standard methods of measurement.
2. Contract Administration (of standard forms of contracts) for a variety of projects ranging in size and value.
3. Oversee projects from inception through to successful completion, assisting with the management and development of our assistant and graduate cost managers.
4. To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
5. To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
6. Taking responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of projects from feasibility through to handover and maintenance.
7. Keep up to date with current developments and good practice within the industry.
Person specification:
Experience:
1. Ambition to become an MRICS Chartered Surveyor.
2. Experience with the standard forms of contract preferable.
3. Familiarity and experience with standard methods of measurement.
4. Local to the South Wales (Cardiff Office).
Qualifications:
1. BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent RICS accredited degree.
