What you’ll be doing
as a Technical Manager
1. A key part of your role will be to act as the client’s technical representative, ensuring the reservoir project is correctly specified and that the proposals of the project team are compliant with those requirements.
2. Drive a culture of safety and performance management across all teams.
3. Have a central role in establishing and operating effective value management and change control processes. It is a key role in shaping the project for success and demonstrating value for money.
4. Act as the strategic technical lead, bringing together colleagues from a range of different organisations and managing the interdependencies between each organisation’s accountabilities and responsibilities.
5. Ensure there is consistency in application of engineering standards and interpretation of technical guidance across the TW SRO portfolio.
6. Work in a matrixed approach to utilise technical skills across the company to deliver the required input to the projects and maintain and enhance business processes.
7. Working with our Technical Partners to ensure timely delivery of the programme.
What you should bring to the role
8. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
9. An established and credible technical leader with the drive and energy to deliver.
10. Significant and relevant engineering experience of major infrastructure.
11. The ability to influence a large number of stakeholders, often with competing objectives, whilst preserving and maintaining excellent, collaborative relationships is a critical part of this role.
12. Have excellent and inspiring communication and influencing skills, to clearly interact with various individuals.
13. Working in a fast paced and demanding environment to meet project timescales, experience of Development Consent Orders is desirable.
14. Be flexible and resilient to deal with project challenges.
15. A great team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
16. Project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work flexibly to manage conflicting priorities.

17. Up to £81,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
18. 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
19. Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
20. Personal Medical Assessments – Open to all once a year.
