Job Overview: Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a successful, bespoke, special purpose machine manufacturer based in West Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Competent in technical aspects of mechanical design and development of special purpose machinery.
* Innovative and solutions-driven, often working autonomously.
* Run projects from start to finish, designing entire machines while adhering to standards such as CE marking.
* Experience in a multi-skilled environment, with knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components.
* Proficient in both 2D & 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
* Provide a high level of commercial awareness to ensure cost-effective design solutions and manage design changes according to standard operating procedures.
* Office-based role – 37.5 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays.
* Potential to work from a satellite office located in Somerset after a bedding-in period in West Yorkshire.
