We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision setting in Sherwood (NG5). This rewarding role involves working closely with KS3 and KS4 students who face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, providing tailored support to help them re-engage with learning and develop positive coping strategies.
✅ Provide 1:1 behaviour support, helping students manage and improve their behaviour.
✅ Design and implement personalised behaviour strategies and intervention plans.
✅ Offer emotional and social support to encourage positive development.
✅ Build trusting relationships with students, empowering them to take ownership of their learning and behaviour.
✅ Help students develop essential social and emotional skills.
✅ Monitor student progress, reviewing and adjusting interventions when needed.
✅ Collaborate with school staff to create individualised support packages tailored to each student's needs.
✅ Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the development of the whole child.
Have experience working with young people who display challenging behaviours or have SEN (special educational needs).
Are resilient, adaptable, and confident working with students who require additional support.
Have experience in an educational setting (highly desirable).
Possess strong communication skills and can engage positively with students and staff.
Are committed to supporting students with complex behavioural needs.
Long-Term Security: A full-time role with the potential to transition to a permanent position.
