1-1 Learning Mentor – Bournemouth Location: Bournemouth Employment: Full-time, Monday–Friday Salary: £85–£95 per day Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real impact? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Learning Mentor to join our team in Bournemouth. This is a full-time role with the potential to transition from a temporary to a permanent position. You will be working in a school that supports both primary and secondary-aged students, providing vital support to those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex learning needs, challenging behaviour, or trauma. What You’ll Do:
* Provide 1-1 tailored support to students, promoting their emotional well-being and personal development.
* Help students engage in learning by building confidence and motivation.
* Support students with ASD and complex learning needs, adapting approaches to meet individual requirements.
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a nurturing learning environment.
* Implement positive behaviour strategies to help manage challenges effectively.
* Monitor and track student progress, adapting support as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, ASD, complex learning needs, trauma, or challenging behaviour (preferred).
* Background in SEND, support work, or working with vulnerable adults is beneficial.
* A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach to handling complex situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
* A proactive, compassionate, and child-focused mindset.
