The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join our team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either a qualified accountant or part-qualified (and working towards completion), willing to continue their professional development and who has strong financial and technical experience. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will provide support to the academies within Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire region. You will be a good team player, a highly effective communicator, with great attention to detail and strong IT skills.
Stoke Academy will be your base with regular travel to our primary academies within the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Trust's West Yorkshire Finance Manager and ensure the Trust's finances are managed efficiently, ethically, professionally, with integrity and conforming to all internal and external regulatory requirements.
2. Assist with all aspects of development and effective operation of financial systems and procedures, including financial accounting, budget setting and monitoring, costing activities, and development of budget profiles.
3. Act as the catalyst for driving efficiencies across all areas of the Trust both centrally and with each of the Academies.
4. Coordinate all financial and management reporting across 3 primaries and assist with the other primaries within the West Yorkshire Hub.
