HGV Operator Location: UK Wide Salary: £32,960 per annum Hours: 48-hour week Role and Responsibilities: Working in a safe manner in line with company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, as well as relevant health and safety legislation, including but not limited to: Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 Other relevant Acts, Regulations, and Approved Codes of Practice Key responsibilities include: Driving a range of company HGVs and understanding their specific operation to carry out tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Undertaking tasks either in teams or independently, including: Fuel uplifts and fuel deliveries Fuel filtering / fuel polishing and associated aspects Operating the fleet of Vac Tankers for various purposes Using jetting equipment on Vac Tankers exceeding 4000 psi Interceptor cleaning, uplift, and disposal Completing paperwork in compliance with ADR regulations and Hazardous Waste Regulations Driving a range of company LGVs for various duties Assisting the wider team with various tasks ( Mainly hazardous products in accordance with ADR and Hazardous Waste Regulations) Other Duties Assisting with (non-exhaustive): Tank preparation and painting Fuel filtration with smaller units Fuel sampling OSR reporting Daily Tasks in a High-Performing Team Understanding, adhering to, and accepting Risk Assessments and Method Statements, along with the ability to complete Dynamic Risk Assessments. Using various tools to remove hazardous materials safely, avoiding unnecessary risks. Cooperating with line management to ensure personnel, contractors, and visitors comply with site rules. Contributing to the development of equipment, plant, and systems to improve safety, environmental, and operational standards. Promoting safety, health, environmental, and quality awareness among personnel, contractors, and visitors. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping at all times. Reporting faults on plant, equipment, infrastructure, and other operational difficulties as they occur. Assisting in the maintenance of plant, vehicles, and equipment. Engaging in regular training and supporting others in their training needs. Other Requirements IT literate (including use of mobile apps for job actions) Willing to work away from home for up to 4 nights per week Willing to work outside in all weather conditions Flexible with working hours based on business needs Comfortable working as part of a team or autonomously when required Qualifications and Education Requirements Valid and in-date Category C driving license Valid and in-date ADR certification Valid and in-date DCPC Card Valid and in-date drivers license Valid and in-date driver tachograph card Additional Notes "If you see something, say something."
