An excellent opportunity to join an Engineering department with visions to continually improve the site, manufacturing equipment, and the skillset of it’s engineers!
Role Description
1. Fault finding / diagnosis on a range of PLC systems – Omron, Mitsubishi, Directo Logic
2. Maintenance and repair of a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment including electrical panels, motors and pneumatics.
3. Ensuring machine performance is kept to high levels through preventative maintenance activities
4. Installation of new machinery and involvement in projects
5. Keeping records of all maintenance activities
6. Occasional tooling changes
7. Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner and that HS&E standards are adhered to at all times
8. To report directly to the Engineering Manager with regard to repairs / maintenance
9. To regularly report any tool / consumable requirements
10. To liaise with the Engineering Manager with regard to plant improvements
Skills and Qualifications
11. Relevant mechanical and/or electrical engineering education (Degree/ HNC/HND)
12. Strong electrical engineering skills and experience – control panels, motors, sensors etc.
13. Experience working within a manufacturing environment
14. Experience working with PLC’s (Fault Finding and Interrogation)
15. Desired experience working on extruders, moulding machinery, ovens, chillers.
