The Senior Finance Manager is a key contributor to The Macallan ambition through performance management and delivery of current initiatives, whilst ensuring that long term strategy is always front of mind. The role leads the provision of comprehensive, robust and value-added financial support to The Macallan Business Unit, aided by insightful and commercially relevant management information. The Senior Finance Manager provides accurate management and financial reporting, ensuring control and compliance requirements are met. The position will manage the financial planning, reporting and analysis of centrally managed overheads and brand investment. Identifying and leading improvement initiatives and projects relating to decision support and financial analytics will be a key requirement. This role is a 6 month secondment opportunity. * Lead role in the planning and forecasting strategic financial processes for The Macallan. This includes effective collaboration with the stock planning and commercial teams
* Development of strong working relationships within The Macallan Business Unit, and across wider teams (Regional Finance, Group Finance, Global Supply Chain (GSC) Finance)
* Finance Business Partner to all levels of the Business Unit, performing detailed financial and scenario modelling, delivering strong financial controls and providing effective decision support
* Clearly articulate and communicate The Macallan performance and key initiatives through regular reporting packs and presentations
* Financial planning, reporting and analysis of Brand Investment for The Macallan (Centrally managed investment and also Regional / Market A&P)
* Overheads cost management, challenge and support.Lead role on key projects and key user forums eg Global A&P Project, Planning Analytics
* New Product Development appraisal - financial modelling and feasibility
* Provide support to The Macallan Operations Director and Estate teams on financial matters and stock
* Work with GSC Finance on cost of goods, including cased, dry and POS tracking and provisions
* Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Excellence on commercial allocation and pricing matters
* Lead, coach and development of team to ensure high performance and clear development plans
To be successful in this role, you are educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a professional finance qualification such as ICAS, CIMA, or ACCA, with post-qualifying experience appropriate for this level of responsibility. You demonstrate strong communication skills, proven leadership, and a high level of integrity, with the ability to operate effectively across all levels of the business. You possess robust commercial finance skills, including market or regional experience, with a solid understanding of sales channel and margin structures. You can articulate and execute business strategies with financial modeling expertise and the ability to manage complexity, consistently performing under tight deadlines while maintaining a continuous improvement mindset. You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and have advanced expertise in Planning Analytics (TM1) and SAP AFO.
