1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: York Area Start Date: Spring Term About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support an EHCP student who has been out of education for 18 months. This role involves providing personalised support to a young student with specific learning needs, including autism and SEMH, within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting. Depending on the student’s needs, the role may involve up to 3:1 staffing. Key Responsibilities: Providing tailored support to an EHCP student in line with their individual needs. Assisting the student with daily activities, emotional support, and academic tasks. Supporting the PRU team in creating a safe and positive learning environment. Collaborating with teachers to track progress and implement strategies. Requirements: Experience supporting students with SEND, ideally in a PRU or similar setting.
