Job title: National Account Manager (Medical)

Reporting to: Senior National Account Manager
Summary of position:
Responsible for managing and growing our Medical business within defined customers as a key part of the TSL growth strategy within retail.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Achieving annual Budget
2. Building and working to your own strategy to grow and develop each account
3. Maximise sales from analysis and range reviews
4. Gain new business through range extensions, gap filling or targeting competitor products
5. Analysing and presenting market data/focus group outcomes to provide insight to the customer
6. Work with all departments to ensure customer service is fully optimised and any issues are resolved
7. Monitoring all sales performance regularly, highlighting and maximising returns
8. Being a product expert within the medical category, giving confidence to our customers
9. Engaging the business on value engineering and product improvement initiatives and working closely with the procurement and technical teams to bring ideas to the shelf
10. Going after new accounts where assigned to unlock further business growth opportunities

2. Good negotiating, research, prospecting, closing skills, driving the new opportunity pipeline with a desire to understand and build relationships with the customer while keeping TSL interests at the centre of decision making

5. Team orientated with an ability to work on own initiative.
6. Handling of large, £multi-million size tenders - experience and competence, able to distil complex projects into headline summaries and actions
7. Ability to manage and prioritise the expectations of key stakeholders (internal and external) with desire and drive to succeed
8. Strong commercial acumen. Focusses on profitability to drive sustainable growth. Confident working out your own commercials - It should already be second nature to work out year on years, percentages, margins etc.
9. Ability to analyse data and trends to extract valuable conclusions.
10. Proven track record of delivering success in large UK Grocery/High street multiples / FMCG industry experience / Healthcare product industry experience
11. Would Consider National Sales Executive who is ready to take the next step in their career
12. Ideally own label and branded experience
13. Awareness of global sourcing and Supply Chain management
14. MS office and IT skills, especially strong excel skills
