If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Support Officer at our secondary school in Bacup.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted behaviour support to students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
* Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to develop behaviour plans and strategies.
* Assist in managing challenging behaviour, helping students to remain engaged in their education.
* Support the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Monitor and track student progress, offering guidance to improve their behaviour and learning outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting or a similar support role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider school team.
