HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family Courts and Tribunals in England and Wales. Our roles support our service users and colleagues within HMCTS, where people and businesses access potentially life-changing justice.
Spread nationally over several sites, our Courts, and Tribunal Service Centres CTSCs deliver services through several jurisdictions known as ‘service lines’. These include Social Service & Child Support, Family Public Law, Probate, Crime, Immigration & Asylum, Divorce, Online Civil Money Claims, the Single Justice Service (non-imprisonable offences e.g., no TV license / car tax), and supporting audio video hearings.

Your role
This role, which will report to the Operations Manager, is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient day-to-day site-specific services at a CTSC site, ensuring accommodation, assets/equipment, health & safety, and resource issues are dealt with proactively and efficiently to meet the daily functional and operational needs of the CTSC.
Your skills and experience
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written skills including minute-writing, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to juggle different tasks and prioritisation of work.
• Ability to build strong relationships and support networks.
• Ability to work on own initiative, with the ability to make things happen.
• Provide discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues.
• Proactive in approach to managing issues as they arise in the sites, with the ability to identify key issues and escalating when required.
• Some experience of facilities management, i.e. managing day-to-day on-site responsibilities, working with suppliers and contractors to ensure scheduled work takes place etc, would be an advantage.

Ways of working
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. There is an expectation that you can be flexible with your working hours to accommodate the needs of the business, the post holder may also need to travel to other CTSC sites where required. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible, and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible, and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
Non-contractual hybrid working is currently available, arrangements are determined by the business.
