With a significant focus on enhancing safety standards and environmental impact monitoring, this role is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and patients.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading and coordinating Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across all healthcare and charity shop locations
* Managing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices
* Conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, promoting a proactive safety culture
* Offering guidance and advice on Health & Safety matters
* Enhancing the environmental monitoring process, reporting on impacts, and implementing strategies to reduce environmental risks
* Taking ownership of the Health & Safety Committee and Green Group content, working collaboratively to promote a culture of safety and sustainability

What We’re Looking For:
* A relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
* IOSH membership (Ideally Cert IOSH or Tech IOSH as a minimum)
* Proven experience in managing Health & Safety within a Healthcare, Charity, Social Housing or similar environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
* A proactive and pragmatic approach to Health and Safety management, balancing patient-centred care with compliance
* Familiarity with environmental monitoring and reporting (desirable but not essential)
