Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Worcester
Duration: 2 years
Pay Rate: £23.50 P/hr PAYE
Rullion have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a global leading Additive Manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an opportunity to help introduce innovation into the manufacturing process.
You will work alongside stakeholders on site and globally with a view to introduce new manufacturing methods and solutions onto the shop floor.
Your profile
1. University degree/Relevant Experience in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar)
2. Basic understanding of Additive Manufacturing Processes and their optimisation, focusing on metals
3. A keen interest to work with real life open-ended problem solving
4. Strong communication skills with internal customers and external partners as well as an understanding of strategic technology planning and technology road-mapping
5. Autonomous working and self-initiative, strategic thinking, organisational & coordination and results orientation
6. Training on some quality methodology, like Six Sigma, TQM, or Lean (etc)
7. Ability to work as an integral part of an agile, growing team
8. Some knowledge of metallurgy and metal working would be an advantage
Your responsibilities
9. Responsibility for executing development programs
10. Define, plan, lead and execute R&D activities together with the technology development team
11. Interface to Siemens Energy internal counterparts on R&D projects
12. Status reporting to PM as well as MSL & SE management
13. Drive the execution of new manufacturing processes and tools
14. Ensure the quality requirements are met during AM process development to internal and customer requirements
15. Spearhead the adoption and implementation of the latest AM best practices to ensure repeatable and reliable manufacture
16. Troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions
17. Coordinate with other disciplines within Siemens Energy (AM), such as Sales, Operations, Quality and Design
