Based in our Head Office in Manchester, you will line manage a Hardware Engineer as part of a team of two. This role will see you building laptops, desktops and tablets, and managing the hardware lifecycle of the estate. You will be responsible for IT hardware peripheral, WEEE disposal and IT Asset Management of all devices. Currently supporting circa 6000 devices with Windows, iOS and Android operating systems, previous experience in this field of work is required. Imaging, distribution and return of laptops, desktops and tablets as part of our Joiner Mover Leaver process Refining and suggesting improvements to existing hardware processes currently in place Manage liaison with HP, Apple, and hardware distributors such as SoftCat for purchase and support of hardware Own relationships with your respective peers in the IT service desk and infrastructure teams Responsibility for the output of the IT hardware team, managing and reporting on your areas of performance in line with trend analysis, volume in/out of devices and projections of order requirements Own relationship between the service desk with regards to troubleshooting and brand specific hardware/software imaging requirements Own and maintain an IT Asset management platform, WEEE disposal and report monthly on device activity Own and review a knowledge base of issues encountered during build and return process and implement fixes accordingly Own the imaging and Installing process for all devices Knowledge and experience with Windows 7/10 essential Continue to build and develop knowledge in software installation, build, fault finding, and repair If your skills and experience match what we are looking for, please apply today and a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch.
