This is a maternity cover role commencing in January 2025 and can be worked on a hybrid basis.
Role Purpose:
The main responsibility of the Content Executive will be to create engaging, optimised content that drives traffic, builds brand awareness, encourages conversion and supports our marketing goals. You will craft compelling website content, blog posts, and press releases targeted at trade, local, and parent press titles, ensuring all materials are aligned with our brand voice and SEO best practices, where relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Website Content Creation: Develop and optimise engaging website and landing page copy that is SEO-friendly, attracting and converting organic and paid traffic and improving search engine rankings.
* Blog Writing: Write informative, creative, and shareable blog posts that appeal to our target audience, addressing topics relevant to parents, childcare, education and industry trends, with the ultimate goal of progressing the user journey towards conversion.
* Press Releases: Craft well-structured, engaging and newsworthy press releases for distribution to trade, local, and parent press outlets, highlighting key updates, events, and achievements.
* SEO Optimisation: Ensure all content is optimised for search engines, including the use of relevant keywords, meta descriptions, and internal/external link strategies. This will be achieved with the support, training and guidance of our digital agency.
* Content Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience interests to inform relevant and engaging content creation aligned wit our content strategy.
* Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent tone of voice and messaging across all content in line with Grandir UK’s brand guidelines, by audience.
* Content Calendar Management: Work closely with the marketing team and digital agency to manage the content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all materials.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with the wider sales and marketing team as well as other support departments to ensure content aligns with broader campaigns and marketing objectives.
* Analytics & Reporting: Use Google Alerts and Analytics to analyse and report on marketing activities, providing insights to inform future strategies and improve performance.
Requirements:
* Experience in content writing, journalism, or copywriting.
* Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
* Experience writing press releases and working with media outlets, preferably across trade and local press.
* Ability to generate fresh ideas and approaches to storytelling while adhering to brand guidelines.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with a range of deadlines simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
‘Nice to have’ experience
* Experience in SEO best practices and how to apply them to content creation.
* Experience in writing for the web and the education or childcare sector would be a benefit. Experience with WordPress or similar platforms is a plus.
* Experience in using optimisational tools such as Surfer is not required but would be a benefit.

What will you be doing:
* Create an environment that supports the individual needs of all children
* Maintain systems to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of our childcare practices.
* Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers.
* Maintain open and positive working relationships with staff.
* Ensure that practices and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Assist in agreeing and reviewing individual targets with staff.
* Assume playroom and additional management responsibilities when required.
* Keep costs in line with the agreed budgets.
