Purchase Ledger Clerk – Portadown
Permanent | Full-Time | Site-based | c£28,000 per annum | Flexible Working
REED Accountancy is delighted to be partnered with our client, a reputable manufacturing company in Portadown, in the appointment of a full-time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their dynamic team.
Reporting into the Company Accountant, the successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for the logging of invoices, resolution of any AP queries, and the placing of purchase orders.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Logging of invoices received into the business
* Review & check employee expense claims
* Complete Supplier Statement Checks on a monthly basis
* Prepare the monthly payment run
* Resolve any AP queries
* Complete relevant Government Returns & Statistical Returns
* Analysis of financial information e.g. cost analysis
* Place purchase orders
* Work alongside the payroll department to aid in the processing of payrolls
* Any other duties as reasonably delegated
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
* 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English (or equivalent)
* 2 years’ experience in accounts payable
* Experience working with an ERP System (Desirable)
* IT literate to include Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
