A highly reputable and award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join their permanent staff at their site in Rugby. The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored Maths lessons to students with a range of special educational needs. They will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated Maths lessons that meet the individual needs of students.
* Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
* Assess and monitor student progress, implementing individual education plans (IEPs) where necessary.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and therapists to ensure a holistic approach to education.
* Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
* Participate in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Maths, preferably within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
* A strong understanding of different SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
* Ability to differentiate lessons and use a variety of teaching techniques to support diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
