HGV Car Transporter Driver
We are looking for an experienced Car Transport Driver to join my client's growing team based in Northamptonshire. You would be responsible for the transportation and safe loading & unloading of 10+ vehicles using a multi-car transporter across the UK. The ideal candidate will have precision, excellent time management, and strong safety knowledge.
HGV Car Transporter Driver Responsibilities:
* Safely loading and securing 10+ vehicles onto the transporter using a hydraulic or manual ramps and securing mechanisms.
* Ensure vehicle checks are thoroughly completed and items are secured before transport.
* Drive across the UK, delivering vehicles to dealerships, customers, and auction houses on schedule.
* Ensuring all road transport regulations, traffic laws and company procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Report any mechanical issues or damages promptly to the Transport Manager.
* Ensuring excellent customer service is provided at delivery locations and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
* Handling queries or complaints in a professional manner and escalate when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle conditions, mileage, and fuel use.
* Complete and submit daily logs, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations.
HGV Car Transporter Requirements:
* Valid HGV Class 1 (CE Licence) & Driver CPC Qualification
* Proven experience driving a Car Transporter is essential (Minimum 2 years)
* Familiar with vehicle loading techniques, hydraulic ramp, and secure strapping methods.
* Flexibility - Willingness to work variable hours, including occasional overnight stays.

This is a temp to permanent opportunity paying between £175 - £225 daily + Night Out depending on experience we will additionally consider contract drivers and LTD companies.
