Req ID: RQ190930 Type of Requisition: Expatriate Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Secret Public Trust/Other Required: None Job Family: Systems Administration Skills: Disaster Recovery (DR),Information Security,System Administration Certifications: CompTIA Security - CompTIA Experience: 5 years of related experience US Citizenship Required: Yes Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities: Administer, operate, and maintain physical and virtualized infrastructure providing support ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 2 support in support of the systems as determined by the Government. - Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure including managing servers, ensuring system availability and implementing solutions to improve system performance and security. - Oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments. - Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions. - Monitors systems performance and troubleshoots moderate to complex issues to ensure high availability and reliability. - Performs maintenance such as patch management, updates and backups. - Perform security patches as required to mitigate security vulnerabilities and to increase functionality. - ?Ensures systems are updated with the latest security patches and software updates. Schedule and perform system upgrades as necessary to maintain the currency and security of the system. - Implements and maintains security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with quarterly published Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). - Conducts security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organization policies and regulatory requirements. - Manage allocated storage to avoid incidents caused by lack of capacity. - Manages and tests backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. - Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services. - Participates in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning. - Follow the backup and recovery plans to ensure there is no application performance degradation according to service-level agreements. - ?Provides support to end users and other IT staff by resolving complex hardware, software and system related issues. - Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes. - Creates reports on system performance, security incidents and other key metrics. - Coordinates with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services. - Provides recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance. Experience : This position requires a minimum of five years' experience, of which at least three years must be specialized experience in administrating computer systems. General experience includes operations experience on a large-scale computer system or a multi-server local area network. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
