Categories including, Facilities Management (FM), Capital Expenditures (CAPEX), Packaging, Maintenance, Technology, Repair and Operations (MRO), Utilities, Marketing and Digital. The professional procurement category manager has total ownership to identify total cost of acquisition opportunities throughout the whole of this organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies for indirect categories, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supplier relationship management.
Effectively manage multiple procurement projects
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimise terms and conditions while minimising risks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and align procurement activities with business objectives.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Data management and analysis
Provide regular reporting and analysis on procurement performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and risk management
Experience
Strong knowledge of indirect procurement categories
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in procurement software and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is preferred.
