About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, emphasizing ethical sourcing and recipe recommendations to customers. You will bring our ethos — passionate Partners serving food lovers — to life through your enthusiasm and friendliness, building lasting relationships and fostering trust and loyalty, thereby enhancing the Waitrose brand impression. Your efforts will also focus on maximizing sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities
1. Take responsibility for your food counter, ensuring high presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
2. Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
3. Handle open food carefully, adhering to health & safety protocols and reducing wastage.
4. Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
5. Support the wider team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality.
* Interest and knowledge of current food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch as needed.
