Teacher Training Provided
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Music to teach across a range of UAL courses in Music and Performing Arts, from Level 1 to Level 4. All projects that our students work on are industry-mirrored, and specialist units include the exploration of music theory, use of DAW for recording, editing, mixing, and mastering music, independent music-making, and self-promotion within the industry. You would prepare learners for employment and progression via a work experience programme and create opportunities for learners to engage in enrichment activities.
You will need to possess a degree in Music and will have teaching experience in the subject area, and will be able to teach theory, practical, and industry-related units. With experience as a music practitioner, you will have keyboard, guitar, drum, vocal, and music theory skills. Experience of music production, including Logic Pro X, is also essential.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, with many training and development opportunities and scope for promotion within the College. We will support you to develop your career in teaching, including fully funding a recognised teacher training qualification, which is undertaken at the College if you are not already qualified.
