Finance Administrator
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday

Our client, a leader in their field, is seeking a Finance Administrator to join the team in Peterborough.
As part of the Finance and Business Support team, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, Project Managers, and Commercial Officer to ensure smooth financial operations and help drive the business forward.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the Finance Manager with financial administration, including transaction processing and reporting
- Managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company processes
- Assisting in budget preparation, financial planning, and payroll processing
- Overseeing VAT and tax requirements, along with bank reconciliations
- Using Xero, Excel, and (url removed) to track and report financial data
- Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve financial queries and improve processes
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Financial/business qualifications (or a willingness to gain them)
- Experience in defence, aerospace, or UK MOD-related sectors is preferred
- Knowledge of (url removed) project management tools
