Advanced Paediatric Haematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner who specialises in Paediatric Oncology. This is an exciting role in Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust based in the beautiful county of Cornwall. It is an exciting time to help the Enhanced Level A Shared Care Unit deliver the ambitious goals of the Unit and the Children's Cancer Operational Delivery Network. The small but brilliant team would welcome the APNP to help them in their mission for the children and families of Cornwall.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will have responsibility within all 4 pillars of advanced clinical practice. The focus will be to deliver an advanced level of clinical paediatric oncology care and play a key role in the clinical management of paediatric oncology patients and paediatric venous access. To work within the multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England (HEE2017), the post holder will be expected to deliver components related to leadership and management, education and research as well as the clinical component.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be practicing autonomously as a practitioner to provide patient-centred quality care. This will encompass the skills of advanced assessment, examination, diagnosis and management within an agreed scope of practice. It also includes acting as a role model and expert practitioner in paediatric oncology in order to teach and support others, both medical and nursing. The successful candidate will be expected to create a good working relationship with the many and varied multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to the children and families.

Person Specification
Role requirements
* RSCN, RN (Child)
* Post basic certificate in paediatric oncology
* Possession of MSc in advanced nurse practice skills.
* Supplementary prescribing
* Clinical examination module or undertaking module
* A relevant post basic teaching and assessing course
