Reports To: Head Chef Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen environment? We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at a prestigious international business based in Slough. As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the kitchen and catering areas. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining area, and other designated areas. Manage the cleaning and organisation of cutlery, crockery, trays, and other catering equipment. Handle deliveries, stock rotation, and ensure supplies are stored appropriately. Operate the dishwasher and carry out pot washing and other washing-up duties. Replenish the dining area with clean items as required. Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as cleaning and chopping vegetables or fruit. Remove rubbish to specified areas and maintain waste management standards. Report any accidents, breakages, unsafe conditions, or irregularities to management. Participate in occasional special events that may take place outside regular working hours. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Hygiene requirements. Attend staff meetings and undertake training as required.
