We are looking for a professional with either a Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy qualification who will provide mental health assessment and intervention to the people we support. This role is about building relationships, inspiring others, and working as part of a vibrant and skilled team. If you're inspired to offer support through difficult times and help young people and families thrive, then you may be the right person for our team.
We are open to accommodating a variety of working patterns, including part-time applicants. Please note that we currently have 2 vacancies in our Central Youth Teams: one in our North Norfolk Youth Team and one in our South Norfolk Youth Team. Both positions are primarily based at 80 St Stephen's Road, Norwich. This is an exciting time for our team as we develop our service to meet the needs of our young people in Norfolk.
In our service, we support young people (aged 14-25 years) who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the necessary support and are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families, and carers.
While experience working with children and young people would make you perfectly suited to this role, we are open to welcoming people from clinical backgrounds who have experience in other areas of mental health. We understand that you will bring a wealth of skills and experience to the team and would welcome fresh ways of thinking.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the mental health of young people and collaborating with them to plan their recovery. This could involve providing interventions to the young people you support or helping them find other services inside and outside of our team. We will want to hear your voice throughout your work with us, so it's crucial that you contribute to developing our service by participating in project groups and helping other team members grow through supervision and peer mentoring.

We encourage you to indicate your eligibility through TRAC jobs when applying.
DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK
Please be advised that due to recent changes in the DBS Service, organisations no longer receive copies of DBS Disclosures; these are sent directly to candidates only. Therefore, it will be your responsibility, if successful, to ensure that this is taken to the appointing officer as soon as you receive it. Alternatively, if you have subscribed to the update service, we will be able to check your status once we have your authority to do so. The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance, and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and will remove the need for you to apply for this repeat check again.
