Rail Equipment Engineer - Managed Service Lighting
Crewe - National - Varied Shifts Monday to Friday
Salary: £7.00 - £4.30pm
Speedy are the UK's leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services - everything for every job! We are seeking an experienced Rail Equipment Engineer to join our Managed Service Lighting division in Erith.
Duties:
1. Daily preventative and breakdown maintenance activities on rail tool equipment and lighting.
2. Ensure service schedules are up to date and repair faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire.
3. Work additional hours for breakdowns and time-sensitive project work. Maintenance often needs to be carried out overnight, so you will be expected to work nights; shift payments included.
What you'll need:
1. Strong mechanical and electrical skills and able to use tools effectively.
2. Lighting management experience.
3. Lighting and power product knowledge.
4. Personal Track Safety, ICI, and BTA rail permits.
5. The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
6. Full valid driving licence.
7. Basic understanding of Health & Safety relevant to the role.
8. Commitment to learn and develop.
9. Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy.
