Your New Role We have a fantastic opportunity for Communications Manager to join our Group Communications Team on a 12 Month Fixed term contract. This is a remote role that will require regular travel. Reporting to the Head of Strategic and Marketing Communications, you will support the development and delivery of the communications and Marketing strategy. As the Communications Manager, you will work with the communications lead and the wider team focusing on media, public affairs, brand, social, marketing, customer and internal communications. The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. You will be responsible for: Providing proactive and professional communications and marketing support business-wide Supporting business development and work winning opportunities through targeted marketing and stakeholder engagement activities Supporting the delivery of employee communications which drive increased engagement Providing guidance to operational teams on communications and marketing needs Supporting the delivery of marketing communications activities and projects in line with specific area of responsibility Supporting the alignment of communications and marketing plans to support effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building Owning relevant communication channels for their area of the business Working with the Amey marketing communications team to monitor and report on communications activity Working with the Group Marketing Communications team to deliver marketing, event and networking activities Providing support for all strategic events and awards within their area of responsibility Writing relevant internal news stories for Amey’s corporate channels Writing and issuing internal announcements within the Business Unit Producing written materials (e.g. collateral, press releases, thought leadership, case studies, social media entries etc.) as required Producing content for various channels including the internal and external website, social media and collateral (videos, vlogs, infographics etc.) as required Working closely with external client teams as needed to successfully deliver locally driven content or campaigns We want to hear from you if you have: A communications or Marketing qualification would be desirable First class creative writing skills with proven experience of producing marketing/comms content Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to business partner with internal stakeholders Excellent organisational skills An understanding of changes in marketing and communications trends and technologies Proven experience in a similar role The ability to lead and deliver projects Excellent editing and copywriting skills Understanding of local and central Government, the UK political system and the devolved nations Ability to monitor and analyse insight, feedback and intelligence to identify successes and areas for improvements utilising data to demonstrate the impact of marketing and communications What we can offer you When you join us, we can offer flexibility, career development, a choice of benefits and support that help you through all life’s ups and downs.
